Google cybersecurity centre opens in Malaga

The global, well-known technology giant – Google, chose Malaga, the city close to our heart, as the location for its new cybersecurity center. The 2,500 square meters of office space will host training sessions, debates, workshops and mentoring programs in the field of IT security, as well as advanced research and development activities.

The main investor and resident of the new center is VirusTotal, a company owned by Google, with 40 employees and the largest security database in the digital world. Every day, it analyzes millions of files and addresses that may be potentially dangerous, while cooperating with giants such as Facebook, Apple, Netflix and Samsung.

Málaga is the technological capital of Spain…

Every year, Malaga is maturing more and more, to become the real “Spanish Silicon Valley”, thanks to the headquarters of new technology companies from around the world springing up like mushrooms after rain.
